Gregg and Daniel Martin
Gregg and Dan Martin are very pleased to introduce Liquid Capital Alternative Finance Inc. to the Manitoba business community. The company specializes in providing a broad range of creative financing options for rapid growth small and medium-sized businesses that have reached the maximum support level of their existing banking partners.
With more than a quarter century of experience building and operating their own successful businesses and having lived through many of the funding challenges faced by rapid growth start-up companies, this father and son duo bring a unique, multi-faceted perspective to the world of business finance.
Syn-Tex Bag, the Martin family’s business, started off as a small Winnipeg-based manufacturing company, with one primary product. While continuing to maintain its local roots, the company grew to be international in scope, with manufacturing facilities in Mexico, China and India, and with customers located in more than twenty countries around the globe. Innovative patents helped product lines grow from the original FIBCs (flexible intermediate bulk containers used to ship dry flowable products such as resins and grains around the world), to include air bags used to protect goods during rail and maritime shipping, extremely heavy duty geo-tubes used to control coastal erosion and specialized containers used in the removal of low level radioactive waste.
High profile application of these specialized products would include clean-up at the World Trade Center after 9/11, emergency levee repair in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and closer to home, flood protection at various Manitoba locations.
Recognition of the successful growth of this business was substantiated when a Fortune 100 Company purchased the business. The challenges faced and overcome and the lessons learned by the Martins in building a successful international business will help to serve future clients of Liquid Capital Alternative Finance.
After the sale of the primary family business, Gregg Martin went on to establish a successful Winnipeg-based company that engineered and manufactured robotic and automation solutions for improved efficiencies in labour intensive operations. As with many small startup businesses, Gregg garnered invaluable experience when forced to wear many different hats during the start-up process.
As Principals of Liquid Capital Alternative Finance, Gregg and Dan Martin have the distinct advantage of having been in their client’s shoes. They understand their needs and they have a unique line of products and services to meet those needs.
