Rebekah Hutchison & Stephen Ison

Rebekah Hutchison and Stephen Ison are managing Principals for Liquid Capital West Coast Financing Corp, where they help the local British Columbia business community grow and succeed by providing alternative finance solutions to businesses not yet ready for bank or credit union financing.

Rebekah’s background is in entrepreneurship, project management, business strategy and corporate communications both in the private and public sectors.  Before opening Liquid Capital West Coast Financing Group with Rebekah, Stephen was a general partner at a multi-national investment firm with experience developing advanced training and leadership development programs as well as leading the growth and health of the business in Western Canada.

Rebekah and Stephen are passionate about helping their local business community; Vancouver Island isn’t just the place where they run their business; it is where they work, play and live.  By helping businesses succeed in local and global markets, Rebekah and Stephen encourage diversification, leading to a stronger regional economy in the community they love.  They combine this passion for their community with an analytical, efficient, and strategy-focused approach to business, viewing every client’s finance issue as a puzzle to solve.  Stephen and Rebekah enjoy the relief on their clients’ faces when they realize they’re speaking to problem solvers that have an interest in their business and want it to succeed.

Active participants in their community, Rebekah and Stephen are members of several business  organizations.  They support local non-profit institutions both corporately and personally, including the Victoria Symphony, Pacific Opera, Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, Victoria Conservatory of Music and Bridges for Women.

Rebekah and Stephen are music students at the Victoria Conservatory of Music, in voice and piano respectively.  When not working or enjoying the arts offerings in Victoria, Rebekah and Stephen engage in numerous active and outdoor pursuits including hockey, HIITraining, skiing, tennis and yoga.  (They can often be found at a Victoria Royals game or skiing at Mount Washington.)  They have a particular fondness for exploring British Columbia’s beautiful West Coast by backpacking, hiking and kayaking along marine and sub-alpine trails.
